QUETTA: At least six persons including a child were killed and other 35 injured in a bomb explosion on Thursday in Liaquat market of Quetta, the provincial capital city of the Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
Terrorists expanded the range of their brutal activities to the third provincial capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province after carrying out explosions in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
Recent attack was carried out in a packed market of the city situated infront of City police station, reports said.
The bodies and injured were shifted by the rescue workers to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medico legal formalities and treatment.
Hospital sources expressed fear for more deaths as many are in critical condition including police personnels, women and children.
Police said the explosion material was planted in a bike and detonated through a remote controlled device from an unidentified location.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has been called and rescue operation started at the scene. Police and Frontier Corps (FC) has cordon off the area.
