ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Ministry of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication has unveiled the development plan for the locals of rural areas on Thursday.
Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Anusha Rahman, said telecom centers will be established in rural areas across the country to facilitate e-services including e-health‚ e-learning‚ e-commerce and e-agriculture.
Briefing to the Universal Services Fund Company here, she said the project will create local employment, entrepreneurship opportunities as well as extend the provision of distance education and ICT literacy.
Anusha Rehman said it will also include biometric verification of SIM cards‚ birth and death registrations as well as computer training to the youth of the nation.
