Washington: Nokia’s flagship device Nokia Lumia 920 now available just for $0.99 at AT&T with two year contract.
The Lumia 920 was one of the first Windows 8 smartphones to launch in the second half of 2012. it became one of the most-popular Windows mobiles phone around.
AT&T is the only carrier to offer the Lumia 920 in the U.S. The carrier is also offering other top-end Lumia devices such as the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020. AT&T is also currently the only carrier to offer three high-end Lumia devices in the U.S., as the other operators’ Windows Phone lineup is rather limited.
The arrival of Lumia 1020 and the Lumia 925 at AT&T may have been the key factors for the carrier to reduce the price of the Lumia 920 to $0.99 on a two-year contract.
Currently, AT&T is offering the Matte Black, High Gloss Red and High Gloss Yellow variants of the smartphone for $0.99. The carrier is also selling the handset for $439.99 outright.
Nokia has been very aggressive with the launch of new handsets in 2013. The company has already released three high-end smartphones – the Lumia 1020, Lumia 925 and the Lumia 928 – this year. However, the Lumia 920 packs in top-end features and still remains one of the most-popular Windows 8 smartphones around.
The Lumia 925 is not a major upgrade to the Lumia 920. With only slight differences on-board, many Lumia 920 owners may not find it worthwhile to upgrade to the Lumia 925. However, new customers may want to buy the latest handset rather than going for a 2012 model.
AT&T is selling the Lumia 925 for $99.99 and the Lumia 1020 for $199.99 on a two-year contract. New customers who are looking for a pocket-friendly Windows smartphone may opt for the Lumia 920 instead.
