LAHORE: Setting a great example of solidarity, Pakistani Muslims and Christians came together and formed a human chain in front of local church in the country’s Lahore city of Sunday, a report said.
Not only from the civil society but people from religious groups and clerics were also present at the show attended by around 300 persons at the St Anthony’s Church.
Mufti Mohammad Farooq delivered a sermon quoting a few verses of the Holy Quran that preached tolerance and respect for other beliefs, local English daily Express Tribune reported.
Father Nasir Gulfam stepped right next to him after having conducted a two hour long Sunday service inside the church.
Forming the human chain, the people express solidarity with the victims of the Peshawar church attack that took the lives of around 100 Christians.
