KARACHI: The Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced moon sight in Pakistan for the commencement of Islamic month of Zil Haj on October 6 (today) after receiving crescent evidences from Quetta’s zonal committee.
Muslim across the Pakistan will celebrate Eid festival on October 16 as Quetta’s zonal committee head provided the evidences of crescent.
Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneer ur Rehman has officially announced the crescent sighting of Zil Haj month and Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on October 16 across Pakistan.
Meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was organised in Karachi today under the chairmanship of Mufti Muneebur Rehman for Eid-ul-Adha moon sighting in different parts of the country.
The central committee comprising representatives of all sects approved the evidences of moon sight after the meeting.
Services from Pakistan Meteorological Department and Pakistan Navy was also taken for making final decision of Zil Haj moon sighting.
Earlier, the met department said that several part of the country is experiencing hot and dry whether including Sindh and Balochistan provinces while picture is cloudy, however, suitable for moon sight via human eye.
Pakistan Meteorological Department said “The moon’s age will be of 36 hours on October 6 and for moon sighting the moon should be of 31 hours,”
The event is celebrated in loving memory of Prophet Abraham or Ibrahim’s sacrifice of his son for the Sake of Allah. During the four days of celebrations, Muslims across the globe sacrifice animals and distribute the meat to needy persons to share the happiness.
