RAWALPINDI: British, Turkish special trainers have reached Pakistan to conduct training sessions commencing in November for selected Punjab Police officers.
Six foreign experts comprising of British and Turkish personnel arrived in Pakistan to prepare 500 officers of Punjab Police during ‘Crime Investigator’ training session going to be held in November.
Preparations have been completed by the Pakistani authorities for the training event which is being conducted for increasing efficiency in war against terrorism and investigation section of the law enforcement agency.
The trainers will also provide guidelines and specific training to the police officers for prosecution department while the under-training personnel include 70 percent of inspectors and other comprising of Deputy Superintendent Police and Superintendent Police.
Foreign experts will educate the officers about collection of evidences from crime scene, DNA, blood samples and modern procedures of investigation, insider sources said.
Staff of prosecution department and judiciary will also be trained in second level of the course conducted by 12 experts from the United Kingdom and the Turkey, sources added.
Sources revealed the purpose of the investigation course by foreign experts by saying that only 4 per cent terrorists got sentenced from the judiciary due to incomplete and invalid investigations during last 10 years.
