KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday has approved request of former President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, for provision of additional security.
The court permitted the former president for appointment of security guard and bulletproof car on personal expenses.
Federal and provincial governments were ordered by the SHC to make tight security arrangements for Asif Ali Zardari.
Earlier, Former President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, has contacted the Sindh High Court (SHC) today seeking additional security provision as he feared his life in danger.
Asif Ali Zardari requested provision of additional security forces’ contingents comprising Rangers and police officials for his foolproof security.
Former President told the court that he would be murdered by Taliban as they are his enemies of life.
He feared to face deadly attacks from the banned militants’ outfit of Pakistan, named as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Local media reported claimed that life threats are being given to Zardari’s family by terrorists.
It should be mentioned that another Pakistan People’s Party chairperson and Zardari’s wife, Benazir Bhutto, was also killed in a terrorists attack after her public address in Rawalpindi on 27 December 2007.
