TURIN (Italy): Striker Carlos Tevez has given Juventus a boost after passing a late fitness test ahead of the Champions League Group B clash against Galatasaray on Wednesday
Tevez was included in Antonio Conte’s starting line-up issued shortly before kick-off in Turin and will start alongside Montenegrin Mirko Vucinic in attack.
Juventus, ousted at the quarter-final stage last season by eventual winners Bayern Munich, are looking for their first win of this year’s group campaign after a 1-1 away draw away to FC Copenhagen a fortnight ago.
The Argentinian’s inclusion means Fabio Quagliarella and Spain international Fernando Llorente start on the bench.
Galatasaray will play their first game under the helm of Italian manager Roberto Mancini after he signed a three-year contract on Monday and are in even greater need of a morale boost after losing 6-1 at home to Real Madrid.
Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder is included in Mancini’s 4-2-3-1 formation, with Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba leading the attack for the Turkish champions.
