KARACHI: With poor performance and governance continue in the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has turned one of its plane into a local bus by overbooking for a flight.
The flight was coming from Islamabad to Karachi and the PIA management has overbooked 60 passengers irrespective of the plane capacity.
“Sixty extra passengers were confirmed seats in the plane causing the delay in the flights,” sources said.
Irked by the poor performance and over staffing in the airline, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has a plan to privatize 26 percent of PIA shares.
