KARACHI: The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has awarded 10-day physical remand of the accused allegedly involved in kidnapping and murder of a 13-year-old girl in Karachi on Monday, The News tribe reported.
According to the correspondent, Neha, a 13 year old girl, was kidnapped by unknown persons on 24th September from her school. Her body was found in the area of Sea View, Karachi on 26th September.
Police arrested the couple Reema and Bilal from Karachi and another suspect from Quetta on Sunday. They were traced though their cell phones.
This was also disclosed that the accused are relative of Neha and they killed her due to a family dispute. They had phoned the Neha’s father for ransom, according to police sources.
The accused, Reema and Bilal, were presented to the Anti-Terrorism court earlier this afternoon.
They confessed their crimes and said that they had kidnapped the child and took her to sea view. Accused also stated that they drowned the child into sea.
However, the accused have stated that they did not abuse the child.
The court has remarked that a DNA test of the accused will be conducted. The court has awarded 10 day physical remand to the accused.
The court has been adjourned for later.
