QUETTA: Unidentified terrorists opened fire on two rescue helicopters taking relief supplies to quake-hit areas of Balochistan on Friday.
Another incident of militants’ attack has been reported today as unidentified persons opened fire on a rescue helicopter from the mountainous area of Mashkay Tehsil located in quake-hit area of Awaran.
The military helicopter was taking relief supplies including medicines, tents, meals and rescue workers to the affected areas of Balochistan, military sources said.
The sources added that light weapons were used in the attack, however, no casualties found in the attacks fortunately as the helicopter escaped safe from the location.
Earlier on Thursday, some terrorists fired rockets on two rescue helicopters went for survey in quake-hit areas of Balochistan while The National Disaster Management Association (NDMA)’s chairman was on board and media team was present in second helicopter.
Both helicopters had escaped safe without having any casualties and the helicopter carrying the Chairman NDMA was safely landed in Awaran while the second helicopter was taken to Khuzdar.
