ISLAMABAD: One Year has passed since YouTube was banned because of blasphemous movie being displayed on the video-sharing website. The present government seems to be disinterested on unblocking it.
IT Minister Anusha Rehman earlier seem to do things that made everyone feel that the video sharing website maybe going to get unblocked real soon. But even though the government has crossed 100 days nothing has been done for its restoration.
Before the 11th May elections Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology &Telecom (IT&T), Dr. Sania Nishtar had prepared a document which said that technical and law experts have been working for the un-blockage of YouTube. After the discussions, it was revealed that YouTube may not open any sooner.
The only way out for the blockage of YouTube is to get a limited domain but the security measures of the company working for it must be provided proper security. Another thing is the amendment of electronic crime bill.
Naya Tel’s   founder Wahaj al Siraj said that there are many ways for unblocking of video sharing website. It seems like government is not serious  He said that if any controversial things are posted on YouTube  can remove it, but no legal action must be taken against them.
