LONDON: According to Daily Nai Baat, MQM Dr. Imran Farooq Group has been supported by some workers within the ranks of Muttahida Quami Movement. The group was launched on the third anniversary of martyred Deputy Convenor, Imran Farooq.
Daily Nai Baat report claims that some people within the ranks of Altaf Hussain’s MQM are supporting the splinter group. Most of them are those against MQM leader Saleem Shahzad. Sources also claim that long time supporter of Haji Jalal who was later killed after the release from Major Kalim case, is also devotee of the cause.
Baldia Town’s former sector Incharge Naeem Ahmed officially introduced the splinter group on the third death anniversary of martyred deputy convener, Dr. Imran Farooq. According to the announcement, Dr. Qurban Siddiqui will be the deputy convener. British Coordination Committee members for London Khwaja Ameer, Shah Hussain, Manzoor Hussain Shah, Akbar Yaseen, Manzoor Warsi, and Jamal Ahmed Shah. Karachi’s Deputy Convener will be Professor Akmal Durrani whereas the Coordination Committee of Karachi includes Usman Siddiqui, Dr. Zia Ahmed, Shahid Manzoor, Muhammad Ali, Syed Waqar Ali Shah and Ali Abbas.
Political activities have come to notice in Orangi Town, Qasba Colony, Aligarh Colony, Bangla Bazar, Bihar Colony, North Nazimabad, Gulbahar, Pak Colony, North Nazimabad, Sarjani, Gulistan e Johar, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Landhi and Korangi.
Although no practical activities were see n. The London group is being supported by some politicians in Lyari. However, some people who are against Saleem Shahzad are also contributing to the cause of the group. Haji Jalal’s close friend is also leading personality in supporting the group.
