KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM)’s Deputy Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that MQM’s history is all about honoured death. Dr. Imran Farooq will always remain as a symbol of loyalty, can’t think of seperate political career.
After Quran Khwani organized by MQM workers at 9-0, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui along with Haider Abbas Rizvi and father of late Imran Farooq spoke to media. The third death anniversary of MQM leader Imran Farooq was marked in various offices of MQM throughout the world including Canada, England, Australia and Pakistan.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Imran Farooq was a role model for all of us and no one can ever doubt on his credibility. He said that we cannot accept the fact he was making a new splinter group, he was symbol of loyality. Only those who envy Imran Farooq are among those who killed him.
Imran Farooq’s father said that 3 years ago, Scotland Yard ask if he has suspects anyone on his murder probe, in which he responded with no.
MQM’s Rabita Committee member Haider Abbas Rizvi said that they don’t want to be a hurdle to the investigation of any agency. MQM has been taken into questioning several times regarding the matter.
Imran Farooq was murdered while he was returning his home from work in North London on September 16th, 2010.
