ISLAMABAD: Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a bailout package of 3 billion rupees for Pakistan Steel Mills and also decided import five lakh tonnes of sugar, according to local media reports.
Federal Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting of ECC in Islamabad on Saturday in which committee announced three billion rupees bailout package for Pakistan steel Mills.
According to the reports ECC also decided that from onwards federal government will pay the salaries of employees of Pakistan Steel Mills.
The committee approved to import five lakh tonnes of sugar in next few months and according to the reports 2.5 lakh tonnes of sugar will be imported till October 2013.
