ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Pakistan has claimed to arrest Mufti Ehsan from Islamabad in ‘Modaraba’ scandal, local media reported on Friday.
According to NAB officials the accused was involved in more than 200 billion rupees of corruption which he collected from general public from different cities of Pakistan.
Earlier, the accused was arrested in April 2013 and alleged for corrupt practices by means of cheating the public at large by receiving a huge bulk of funds from the general public for inducing in so called business on profit & loss basis.
The accused was then defrauded an amount of Rs 220 million. He has been arrested and produced before the Accountability Court Rawalpindi.

Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi special team headed by Director General Col(R) Subah Sadiq Malik arrested Mufti Ihsan ul Haq, Chief Exective M/S Fiazi group of industries Pvt Ltd.
Mufti Ihsan Ul haq was required in large MODARABA scam as he formulated a company and luring the innocent people by enhanced rate of interest for which he was not authorised.
At the inquiry stage revails that apparently thousands of people have been defrauded by the accused and his accomplices. It is pertinent to mention that accused was entered into voluntary Return(VR) with NAB Rawalpindi to pay back the looted money, but he failed to do so.Now the looted money will be recovered from the accused person and will accordingly be disbursed to the affectees after proper verification. A large number of claimants submitted their claims to NAB for remedial action.
