KARACHI: During Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s two day visit to Karachi, different aspects regarding restoration peace in the metropolis were discussed.
Federal Minister for border affairs, Abdul Qadir Baloch emphasized that in order to combat violent incidents in the country’s biggest industrial hub, Indian rules of “PATA” and “TADA” need to be implemented.
Baloch emphasised that in India rules are very strict and same must be implemented in Karachi. While talking to federal cabinet at Governor House Karachi, he said that the biggest democracy of the world is implements stern laws, then why we hesitate to do so.
He further said in order to cut down criminal elements rangers and police must take action on neutral basis. Adding to the comment, federal minister for water and electricity, Khawaja Asif said that the problem in Karachi is like a cancer, it can’t be cured with ordinary tablet.
The minister said the present rules are effective enough if proper implementation is ensured. To bring city back to normal, action must be taken on non discriminatory basis and target killers need to be caught at the earliest.
