After a span of six months, since April this year, of launch of the flagship device, Samsung’s next big thing is getting its space on tech world.
The new report has surfaced with a metal chassis for Samsung Galaxy S5.
The current range of Samsung including Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 hit the market with plastic body, which is seen as a drawback by many Samsung fans.
However, to further boast its fan base, the Korean tech giant is likely to move towards an aluminum body. The move is also significant in the sense that all rivals including Apple, HTC and others have premium body make with aluminum. The switching of the body make will be have a long term effects over the ongoing ‘smartphone war’ of the tech giants.
ETNews, a Korean news outlet, further reports that Samsung will go for a complete design revamp of the flagship devices in 2014 to retain its global leadership in the smartphone category.
“Samsung is allegedly working on the new designs and materials at its factory in Gumi, South Korea, and some of the work might be carried out in Vietnam. All this is based on whispers about a big group of Samsung engineers dispatched to Vietnam.”
We could further expect on the basis of our past reviews of Samsung’s product development that specs and features would also get a revamp. It means that 2014 is going to be an exciting year for Galaxy lovers.
