With rumours have bombarded the tech sphere, Samsung could bring Galaxy S5 with ‘touch and swipe’ user input.
In our recent post on Galaxy S5, if the Samsung goes with the range, we have hinted at a revamp of Galaxy S5’s design, specs and features.
Now a recently granted tech patent confirms this estimation.
According to The US Patent & Trademark Office, it has granted a new type of touchscreen menu for smartphones, tablets, phablets and other devices.
The patent names it ‘Touch and Swipe’ user input, which seems really exciting and thrilling as far as users perspective is concerned.
Patently Bolt reports Samsung had got another similar type of technology naming “Samsung Invents Touch UI with Expandable Menu for Power Users” last week.
The report goes on saying “Samsung is seeking to patent a method for providing a user interface for touch and swipe navigation on a mobile device having a touch screen display. The method and device enable the user of the mobile device to access a menu by touch and swipe functionality. This enables the user to access any menu with just a touch and swipe.”
But, it totally depends on engineers at the Samsung to materialize “Touch and Swipe” for the Galaxy S5 or smartphones beyond as at the moment its just a ‘Patent’.
