Karachi: Information Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon has clarified the stance of the provincial government and said that no action has been taken against any political party including Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).
Sharjeel Memon denied the allegations that any crackdown has been done against any of political parties in Karachi.
The Minister of Information of Sindh said that the rangers and police are independent in taking action on behalf of the information they receive regarding the presence of the terrorists within the city of Karachi.
Sharjeel also made it clear that no lawmakers of MQM have been taken to custody. On the other hand, leader of Muttahida, Farooq Sattar claimed that the workers of MQM have been politically victimized. He further added that the Sindh Government wants to force them to be part of the government which MQM was not in favour.
Farooq Sattar also claimed that workers of MQM are being targeted and arrested due to political vendetta. The Sindh government has reverted their policies from being democratic to dictatorship.
