LAHORE: Police officials have recovered an underage maid from the servant quarter of former Member National Assembly (MNA) Abbas Bhatti’s home situated in Jauhar Town area of Lahore.
The enchained 13-year-old maid has been recovered by Lahore Police officials from the servant quarters of ex-MPA Abbas Bhatti’s home on Friday, Pakistan’s local media reported.
The unlucky girl, reportedly named as Shahida, along with younger brother and sister were reportedly chained up over nonpayment of Rs. 400,000 loan taken by her parents, the 13-year-old victim told the media persons.
The local police conducted the raid on the Abbas Bhatti home after receiving information from the girl’s relatives.
The chained girl told the media pertaining her prison by saying that he parent took loan of Rs 400,000 from the owner of the house while on nonremittal she was imprisoned in the servant quarter along with younger sister and brother.
She added that she is not mentally disturbed and said that her parents refused to take her back to home until their death.
According to reports, Police have recovered her younger brother from the house as well while her sister is still due unrecovered.
Ex-MNA Abbas Bhatti has refused the allegation for prisoning the girl, however, Police officials have arrested him for commencing further investigation.
