LAHORE: Unblocking YouTube is getting complicated day by day in Pakistan as Lahore High Court has to re-issue notices to Federal Information Technology Minister and Secretary over the ban.
LHC has been hearing the petition against ban on the world’s largest video sharing site, which was shutdown last year in September over uploading of blasphemous content.
Since then many efforts have been made to unblock the video portal; however, not a single was successful.
In one of earlier proceedings, the officials revealed that Pakistan was out of the technology to block only subdomain, the page containing the blasphemous content.
LHC, after being informed that IT Minister was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, has adjourned the case indefinitely.
