PESHAWAR: After attacks on Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan (D.I Khan) prisons, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) government takes special measures to increase security at all province prisons.
Government of KPK issues 190.8 million to secure 26 prisons of province, and the amount will be spent on security tools, close circuit cameras and modern weapons for prisons crew, also built extra concretes walls.
Taliban Terrorists, heavily armed, freed nearly 250 prisoners, including hardcore militants, during a sophisticated overnight attack at prison in the town of Dera Ismail Khan that killed 13 people, on Tuesday.
The attack by well-trained gunmen, disguised in police uniforms, has heighten concerns about the ability of the Taliban to operate with impunity in parts of the nuclear-armed state.
After attack critics said there was only one path to reach Waziristan from Dera Ismail Khan and there were so many security check posts.
