ISLAMABAD: While making claims to have long-term ties with Pakistan, Secretary of State John Kerry looked to other way on question regarding release of detained Pakistani Dr. Aafia Siddiqi.
The secretary of state was evidently avoiding giving any clear stance over release of detained female scientist of Pakistan, who has been facing life sentence over alleged murder attempt on United States Marines.
The avoidance was witnessed during the joint briefing of Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and John Kerry.
Aziz said that Pakistan had conveyed its reservation on drone attacks in the country.
Both of the states have also agreed to resume strategic dialogue within six months besides raising bilateral trade up to $11 billion.
Kerry also conveyed that US President Barack Obama’s invitation to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit US.
