LAHORE: A new process of contact with government officials has been started through video conference first time in Pakistan’s eastern province Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif got information directly from the divisional commissioners, Irrigation Minister and concerned officials through video conference about the steps taken with regard to possible flood in the province and issued on the spot necessary directions.
In this way, Punjab has become the first province which has made positive progress towards good governance by promoting E-governance.
“Video conference is considered an effective and modern source of communication. Through video conference, not only time of travelling of concerned officials but fuel is also saved” said official press release of Punjab information department.
Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will soon hold second video conference in which he will directly contact the concerned officials to know the progress of ongoing campaign against electricity and gas thieves, resolution of energy crisis and other steps.
