ISLAMABAD: Load shedding-hit Pakistanis’ longanimity has been testified as Minister for Water & Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif’s ‘optimistic’ statement emerged for generating 40000 mega watt electricity in Pakistan by 2025.
Despite emphasising on current situation of significant load shedding in Pakistan and focusing to get rid of the menace in rapid manner, Khawaja Asif optimism for significant generation of electricity in 2015 is praiseworthy.
However, Khawaja M. Asif claimed Pakistan would be capable to generate 40000 megawatts electricity by 2025 and he vowed to provide electricity to the poor on subsidized rates.
Pakistan Minister for Water & Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that burden of increasing electricity tariff would not be placed on domestic consumers as federal government plans to provide electricity to the poor on subsidized rates.
While giving an interview, the Minister said government is taking rapid and effective actions on emergency basis for the elimination of load shedding in Pakistan.
Asif announced the distribution of energy saver bulbs among masses to save electricity and installation of separate feeders in order to provide relief for industrial zone.
Moreover, Asif said while talking to a delegation of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry that government sets its top priority for provision of uninterrupted power supply to industries.
