ISLAMABAD: Inflation-hit Pakistani nation’s smiles will be snatched after the expected increment in petroleum prices by federal government as few days left the Eid celebration.
Pakistan government has signaled for a significant hike in petroleum prices upto Rs5 per litre from August 1.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sources said that the prices will be increased due to petroleum costs’ hike in international market.
Increment order will be application from August 1 while imposition of new prices will raise petrol price upto Rs1.60, kerosene oil Rs3.95, High speed diesel Rs3.20, Light diesel Rs3.10 and High octane Rs5.10.
Moreover, summary for the addition in costs will be sent to Ministry of Petroleum on July 29 for final approval.
