ISLAMABAD: After sending a record amount of remittances to the country about $ 14 billion, the federal government is looking kind to overseas Pakistanis.
The government has been working upon different measures to benefit the overseas Pakistanis, a strong earning hand for the country in a time of economic turmoil.
One of such thing is that policy is being changed for the Overseas Pakistanis under which they will now be entitle to have pension after returing to the country.
Similarly, their life insurance period has been extended to life time rather than present two years term.
The third thing, overseas Pakistanis will get is the right of vote from the next general elections for which Act has already been approved and just need approval from the federal cabinet.
The fourth is that housing schemes are underway in 12 cities of the country for expatriate Pakistanis.
