WASHINGTON: Former U.S. second secretary of state Richard Armitage has said that Pakistan can stop the Drone attacks but Islamabad government doesn’t do anything without a soft condemnation.
Armitage has accepted that the relations between Pakistan and United States are very difficult and after each Drones attack Pakistanis feel more anger about Washington.
“Despite the anti U.S. sentiment in Pakistan, every Pakistani wants to be in the U.S. if found any opportunity”.
Richard Armitage who served the Washington from 2011 to 2005 as second secretary of state for foreign affairs has said that post 9/11 attack time was very crucial for both Islamabad and Washington.
During his talk with Arab TV Aljazeera former secretary also said that the Abbottabad incident wasn’t an invasion, it was an operation where a terrorist got killed, if Pakistan want to perceive that act as an invasion than its up to Islamabad.
Richard Armitage has said that he is in favour of Drone attacks but the usage of the Drones must be after thought processing.
“Pakistan is capable to stop Drones attacks” said Armitage.
