LONDON: London Police has imposed restriction over Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and 5 other prominent leaders to leave United Kingdom till next order, Daily Nai Baat reported.
According to reports, other MQM leaders included Muhammad Anwar, Tariq Mir, Raza Haroon and his wife Bushra Raza also received the restriction orders by London Police.
According to sources, interrogation process is underway by Scotland Yard with MQM prominent leader Saleem Shahzad and other leader Bushra Raza.
The restriction was imposed after the arrestment of Pakistani origin personality Iftikhar Hussain on June 24 over allegations of Imran Farooq murder case.
The sources revealed that telephone records also been obtained from the arrested person after the access of forensic test.
The sources showed expectations to initiate investigation process also in Pakistan as the police contacted Pakistani authorities regarding the murder case after obtaining the mobile phone records.
“The detained Pakistani personality, reportedly named Iftikhar Hussain, had performed his duties in National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) section of Consulate General of Pakistan Torronto”, sources added.
Raza Haroon’s wife Bushra came under investigation because she provided meal to the persons declared suspicious in Imran Farooq’s murder case.
The MQM prominent leader’s body was found with multiple stab wounds and head injuries on September 16, 2010, outside his home at Green Lane, Edgware, North London.
Earlier, London Police has expressed doubts regarding the incident that same persons were involved in Farooq’s murder who wants to stop him to form a new political party.
It is pertinent to note, the inactive MQM leader was continuously trying to organise his own political party.
Dr Imran Farooq was deputy convener of the party, technically the next predecesser to the MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He was the co-founder of All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO).
