KARACHI: A good news has come for power-hungry country as a Chinese firm intends to set up a wind energy 50 MegaWatt plant near Gharo district, a coastal city of Sindh Province.
The firm has been planning to initiate same type of projects, nine in number, in the country, facing the worst power crisis during the scathing summer season.
The project will cost about $ 120 million, said vice president of Hydro-China International Engineering Company in the port city of Pakistan.
“The project would be a symbol of China-Pakistan friendship and it would start functioning by June 2015.”
