ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Ambassador to United States and prolific Twitterer, Husain Haqqani might be at verge of trouble as the apex court SC orders to bring him back in four weeks.
The bench hearing Memogate case ordered the government to make arrangements to ensure return of Haqqani, who is busy with some US think tanks and universities these days.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was heading the bench hearing the Memo case.
The memogate controversy (also Mullen memo controversy) revolves around a memorandum (addressed to Admiral Mike Mullen) ostensibly seeking help of the Obama administration in the wake of the Osama bin Laden raid to avert a military takeover of the civilian government in Pakistan, as well as assisting in a Washington insider takeover of the government and military apparatus.
Interesting part is, Haqqani is considered by some in US as Pakistani spy while his opponents in Pakistan think him as an American spy.
