Rawalpindi: A local court judge has rejected appeal of star actress Atiqa Odho for her acquittal from wine smuggling case.
According to court officials, Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Ahsan Raza has rejected the appeal in the case.
Odho was caught with two bottles of wine in a flight of Pakistan International Airline on June 4, 2011. On this airport police has registered a case against the star actress.
Prominent Pakistani actress and All Pakistan Muslim League vice president Atiqa Odho was off-loaded from a Karachi bound flight on June 4, 2011 after the airport officials found wine in her luggage.
Sources said that the Airport Security Force (ASF) officials recovered two bottles of wine in Atiqa’s luggage resultantly she was disembarked from the plane at Benazir International Airport Islamabad.
Former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, facing a number cases these days, appointed Atiqa as vice president of his (APML) l.
