PESHAWAR: At least 10 people were killed while at least 30 others injured as a suicide bomber targeted election rally of Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan (Fazl) in the Hangu town of Pakistan’s northwest province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The caravan of Mufti Syed Janan, JUI-F candidate from PK 43, was attacked in a bazaar of Doaba tehsil of KP on Tuesday, reported a private news channel.
Police said a corner meeting of the political party was planned in the area, but the plan could not be materialized due to the terrorist act.
Yesterday, at least 15 people were killed and 70 injured when a bomb ripped through a rally of the same political party in central Kurram tribal region ahead of the general elections.
Miscreants have managed to target candidates and their rallies in several areas of the country with the basic apparent objective being panic and harassment among general public and restrain them from casting their votes.
