Islamabad: Jamaat-e-Islami is regaining ground in provinces of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa with likely a major share in national assembly seats, claims Good Governance Forum.
In its Elections 2013 Broadcast, Good Governance Forum claims that the party, with a firm stand on bringing Islamic system in the country, is likely to get 30 to 40 national assembly seats.
Good Governance Forum (GGF) is Pakistan based interactive Think Tank on governance.
“It will be the largest politicio-religious party in NA,” it further said.
“Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Muslim League-Q and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami (F) are expected to lose seats to JI.”
But some other surveys from different research organizations contradicts this claim. Election fever is on in the nuclear state, a home to over 180 million, these days where polling will be held on May 11.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan “86,189,802 voters will cost their votes on May 11, including 37,597,417 female voters”.
