Islamabad: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday contacted President Asif Ali Zardari over telephone and discussed the current situation face by the top secular parties of the country during their election campaign.
The MQM chief conveyed the difficulties faced by the MQM, Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) during their election campaigns amid bombings and attacks on their election rallies and offices.
Altaf Hussain said that they will not be deterred by the attacks and will continue to organise political activities despite threats.
The MQM chief and Asif Ali Zardari also agreed over curbing the terrorism and increasing contacts in future to eliminate the threat.
