ISLAMABAD: Pakistani government on Monday told the Supreme Court that provision of voting facility to overseas national is not possible in the election scheduled to be held on May 11.
Irfan Qadir, the attorney general, submitted the federation’s reply in the apex court during the hearing of the case pertaining to the voting right to overseas Pakistanis.
In the reply, the federation said that the meeting held to review the issue had appreciated the initiative taken by the court, adding that the facility could not be provided in the upcoming election due to some complication.
The federation said that the facility to overseas Pakistanis would be provided in the next election with the help of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
