Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf leader Imran Khan has been outspoken for last many days against his political rivals especially Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, but now he has to think twice before uttering words against his rivals.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of Imran’s statement regarding Nawaz Sharif which asked people to differentiate between “Leader and Gidarr (Jackal).”
ECP had issued a note yesterday asking all candidates to avoid words that hit any opponents personally; otherwise they have to face action.
Now, Imran has to face ECP trial over the use of words against Sharif family. ECP officials say they will review the matter in their’s Tuesday meeting.
Imran Khan is already being summoned by a local court of Lahore, Punjab’s capital city, over taking out election rally despite a ban on public gatherings in the city.
