Swabi: Unidentified men on Monday hurled hand grenades at Awami National Party (ANP) office in Swabi, a district of Pakistan’s insurgency-hit Khyber Pakhtunkhua province, and injured two activists.
According to police the attack occurred in Maneri area of Swabi when unidentified attackers hurled grenades on the office, damaging the infrastructure and injuring two people.
The injured have been shifted to a local hospital in the district. The law enforcement personnel have cordoned off the area and started search for the culprits.
It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistani Taliban have vowed to carry out attacks against secular political parties in the outgoing coalition government, including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and the ANP.
