After a stream of report on next generation of iPad Mini, Apple fears a decline in 20 to 30 percent in iPad Mini shipment during the second quarter.
The waiting period for iPad Mini 2 has been affecting sales of iPad Mini 1, a report on DigiTimes said.
The PatentlyApple estimated shipments of 10 to 12 million iPad Mini devices during the second quarter as compared to 15 million devices in first quarter. During 2013 Apple is hopeful for selling Probabl55 million iPad Mini devices.
Probably the decision of delay purchasing is based on rumours that Apple could launch iPad Mini 2 in June. But fresh spell of rumours suggest a release date in September to October. So if people are delaying purchasing iPad Mini due to possible arrival of iPad Mini 2 in June, then they could face a not so pleasant situation.
iPad Mini 2 is rumoured to have an amazing resolution of up to 2048 x 1536 which is at least four times higher than iPad Mini and almost equal to iPad 4. So such a splendid display is a natural stopper for people to buy the previous generation iPad Mini.
iPad 5 is also expected to be launched with the smaller version of Apple tablets. On the other hands, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to be launched somewhere in October this year to compete its rivals from Apple.
