QUETTA: Yet another earthquake measuring six on the Richter scale jolted the northwest Balochistan, here on Wednesday (today).
The tremor centered in Mashkil and nearby areas, with the main effect felt in Dalbandin, Nau Kundi, Noshki and other parts of the provincial capital.
According to a private news channel that quoted geographical experts, the quake was 80 kilometers deep.
Meanwhile, rescue teams are facing difficulty in the affected areas due to the massive destruction.
At least 34 people were killed and 180 injured, while 200 houses destructed as a massive 7.9 magnitude occurred near Pak-Iran border yesterday. Experts say there are the aftershocks of the tremors, and would continue for a few days.
Quake in south Iran
According to US Geological Survey, a quake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was felt in the south of Iran. The tremor was also experienced in Muscat and Oman.
