ISLAMABAD: “India is playing double game with Pakistan, while the latter is being deprived of its due share of water.”
This was Wednesday stated by the secretary defense of Pakistan, Asif Yaseen Malik while commenting on, what is called by some segments, ‘water aggression’ of the neighboring country.
Malik said that comprehensive talks were initiated on the subject, but failed every time because of the stubbornness of India.
On the current security situation of the country, Malik said the ‘patch up’ of ‘religious extremists’ and terrorists is a threat for the country.
Pakistan holds the stance that its neighbor is working on a comprehensive plan to build dams in the territory of Kashmir, depriving it of its due water share. The issue has become a bone of contention between the nuclear states.
