SUKKUR: A group of lawyers allegedly belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) manhandled their colleague attorney for submitting objections over former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah nomination papers, a report said.
The report said that a group of the lawyers encircled Manzoor Ansari, president Khairpur district bar, when he came out of Sindh High Court Sukkur bench and beat him severally.
Few other lawyers came in save Ansari from the angry men and alleged that police present at the occasion did not interrupt the men.
Manzoor, while talking to media after the incident, said that few supporters and of the former CM and lawyers had manhandled him for submitting objection over the nomination of the Shah.
He demanded the Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim to take notice of the issue and reject the nomination papers of ex-Sindh CM.
