Karachi: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) on Monday organised free of cost training CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) on the occasion of World Health Day.
The event was observed by CBM Society of Health Managers (CSHM) in collaboration with Aman Foundation. According to a press release issued by the IBM, the theme of this occasion was – ‘BE A LIFE SAVER!
Mr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Dr. Khalid Khurram and Dr. Amir Hussain gave presentations and demonstrations on CPR on behalf of the Aman Foundation.
CPR is an emergency procedure, performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person in cardiac arrest. Fast, efficient CPR given to a patient suffering from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival.
Each year, the World Health Organization selects a key global health issue and organizes international, regional and local events on the Day and throughout the year to highlight the selected area.
