Rawalpindi: Pakistan army on Wednesday said that the attack on a grid station in Peshawar, a metropolitan of Pakistan, was carried out by Taliban, denying the earlier TTP claims that they were not behind the attack.
Earlier, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan denied any hand in the attack on a grid station that killed almost 10 people including policemen and WAPDA employees and caused heavy damage to the infrastructure.
In an statement issued on Wednesday night, the ISPR said that there were undeniable proofs that the banned militant outfit was behind the attack.
“They have attacked the grid station and are now hiding it because of public anger,” the statement said.
