Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has sent notices to several lawmakers, who did not disclose their dual nationalities in 2008 nomination papers, but in one case it also summoned a dead man over the issue.
According to reports, the commission summoned former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Dr Mohammad Ali Shah through a notice sent on his house on March 30.
The former lawmaker died on February 4, 2013 after he suffered a fatal heart attack in a US hospital but despite of that the notice was sent and it was received by a person named Rizwan.
The former lawmaker did not disclose his US identity at the time of 2008 elections.
