Islamabad: “Does your appeal qualifies the conditions to still be heard in the court,” a judge asks former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gilani during his appeal against disqualification in the NRO implementation case.
During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry observed that there was a delay in filing the appeal, and adjourned it for three weeks.
On the 204-day delay, the honorable judge issued notices to Dr. Mubasshir Hasan and others on the next proceeding.
The former PM said that the reasons of the delay have been stated in the appeal, and that he should be heard as soon as possible.
It may be mentioned here that Gilani has been refrained from holding any public office for five years after his disqualification in the NRO implementation case.
