ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan said on Saturday that an ideology is much powerful than money and in the coming elections his party would prove the maxim right.
Addressing party workers on Saturday at the Islamabad Convention Centre, he said that coming polls pit money against the ideology and the PTI would prove that the power of theory is much greater than money.
“People take turns in power after spending huge money and then make money when in power, but we have to fight money with our ideology,” he said.
He said the coming elections would be a big challenge for him but he knew how to cope with the challenges as he had been striving for “Naya Pakistan” for nearly 17 years.
Khan claimed his party held the biggest gathering on March 23 in Lahore’s history and said that tomorrow’s gathering in Swat would also be the biggest in the city’s history.
He said the party would announce its manifesto next week.
Referring to the Pakistan Muslim League, the PTI chief said a party was trying to win youth’s support by distributing laptops among them, but the youth, he said, would support PTI in the upcoming elections.
He said his party would try its best to ensure transparent elections. “We will put 10 youngsters at every polling station to ensure the polls would not be rigged.”
