Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has showed no confidence in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), terming the delimitation of constituencies in Karachi as a conspiracy to divide the vote bank of his party.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hussain said that people have every right to protest the “unlawful and unconstitutional act”.
He further demanded the ECP to reverse the decision adding that the MQM would challenge the decision in Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Earlier on Friday, Hussain denied the media reports quoting police officials that more than 80 MQM criminals, having involvement in extortion and murder cases, were arrested.
He said that that the MQM should not be blamed if a person after his arrest relate himself to the party.
