Lahore: Former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and human rights activist Asma Jahangir and Dunya TV owner Mian Aamir Mehmood have declined offers to become the caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Jahangir said that every stakeholder should be consulted before any decision regarding the caretaker setup.
Both Jahangir and Mehmood were among the three nominees proposed by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa being the third.
The provincial assembly is scheduled to complete its tenure on April 9.
